Walsh first conceived of opening a "green" pet store when she saw the growth of organic and natural products spill over into the pet industry. At the same time, she was looking for a career that combined her long time love of animals with her desire to help the environment. Thus, Green Pawz was born.
"Having been in the natural/organic products industry for 14 years and a pet owner even longer, my mission for Green Pawz is to be kind to our planet, people and pets," said Walsh. "Green Pawz was the logical solution for integrating my passion for healthy, happy pets with my goal for greener living. I am truly looking forward to providing the community with environmentally friendly products, prompt and courteous service, while supporting our local vendors." |

"I LOVE everything about Green Pawz. It's the place I go to get my dog supplies/treats as well as where I go to get my dog groomed. They also have self wash stations (for those of you who aren't lazy like me). Green Pawz supplies everything you need for the self wash stations.
Julianne (owner) is super friendly and very helpful. She really cares about her customers and makes the effort to remember everyone's names...both human and pet (and even remembers what their pet likes!) What's even better is that the pet store is classified as a "green" and environmentally friendly pet store.
They also have dog teeth cleaning services a few times a month. I heard great things about the person who performs the teeth cleaning (done without putting your dog down) which I've always had a problem with. "This is a neighborhood gem for all dog and cat owners. Great stylist and sensible grooming! As well they have a service where for a few dollars you can go in and wash your dog and Green Pawz provides everything, basin, soap, towels, dryer. Real easy and fun to wash your dog of any size there.
In addition they have a large supply of very healthy food and treats."

"I love, love, love Green Pawz. About 10 years back, after realizing how many harsh chemicals were in the hygienic products I was using and how terrible preservatives and pesticides are for you, I switched to an entirely organic lifestyle. Then, when we got our dog, Dharma, a few years ago, I decided it would be absolutely criminal to feed her or treat her with anything that wasn't completely natural and good for her. That's why I was so thrilled when Julianne opened Green Pawz because now we can make sure that Dharma is getting all of the whole food goodness she needs, for really fair prices. I definitely haven't seen any other pet store with the selection of natural foods and pet products that Julianne carries, and I love that she supports locally made products by using and selling EO pet shampoos and conditioner. It's a real treat for Dharma when she goes in to be groomed and gets washed with a lovely shampoo that has lavender essential oils in it! I would 100% recommend Green Pawz to any pet owner that wants the best for their furry friends as well as the planet."

"Their dog grooming is excellent, place is clean and neat, food is healthy, and owner really nice. We are patrons of VIP grooming (top notch), and could not get our dog in, so tried them. The quality is just as good (my PWD looked like a show dog), rates are about the same, and since they are pretty new, get in while you can before they get a following. Next to the park so you can walk your dog before leaving off."
